Mencap is the UK's leading learning disability charity working with people with a learning disability and their families and carers. Together, we fight for equal rights, we campaign for greater opportunities and we challenge attitudes and prejudice. We also provide advice and support to meet people's needs throughout their lives.
There are over 1360 local charities and community groups in Salford and they all do a fantastic job to help improve the quality of life and wellbeing of people living in Salford. From scouts groups to parent-teachers associations; older peoples’ luncheon clubs to sports activities these local good causes help make Salford a great place to live, work and visit. We have developed Salford 4 Good to support local good causes across Salford and to help people and businesses to support their community through the giving of time and skills, money and resources.
